We purchased Caylee as a two year old for intentions of using her as a broodmare. She has been here on our farm since then. Caylees’ sire is M.T. Magon NTF who is out of Midas Touch NTF. Her dam is Colette Sticky Lane III, who’s grandsire(s) is Maestro and Student Easter Sunday. Caylee has always had a very loving and sweet personality and temperament. She is incredibly laid back and easy going. Her training has been limited because of her use as a broodmare for the past three years. However she has always been handled/trained in a loving and gentle way. Caylee is more of a people oriented horse rather than a herd horse. She is much more interested in people and solitude than other horses. She has always had a very kind temperament.

Caylee has never had any type of aggression issues at all, with people or other horses. We never took the time to begin Caylee’s training as a “riding/driving” horse. She has strictly been a broodmare. She has been handled lots, and does tie, lead, clip…..ect. We have recently began her undersaddle. She was very easy to start, it was like she’s done it before. I have been riding her in a hackamore, she has been doing lots of little lateral exercises. She carries herself very nicely. She naturally flexes at the poll and slightly rounds herself. She is “green” but in a mature way. She just needs the miles. Her trot is very comfortable, she does have a lot of knee action ( more like the drafty Haflingers). She is very willing and learns very easy.

She has not yet been out of the ring. She is very quiet undersaddle and has never had any type of behavioral issues. Caylee responds very well to you rein aids, she is still learning to move off the leg, and is doing well. She has been ridden English and Western, however her training has strictly been English. Caylee has never had any soundness or health issues. She currently has a lump on the bridge of her nose, this lump seems to be of no threat, just cosmetic, Caylee will undergo a small (in-field) surgery to remove this lump this fall. She has nice strong bone and solid feet. She has always been barefoot and has done fine. Caylee has no vices or bad habits. Caylee would make a nice broodmare, as she has done for us. She also has great potential as a pleasure riding or driving horse.
